Farm School Session 2

Farm School is in session! Join us for a week of hands-on learning with real-world applications on our working dairy farm.

Curriculum

• Science - Make homemade lip balm and ice cream using products from the farm. Learn about animal science and handling through direct interactions at the barn.
• Math - Calculate total mixed rations for feeding cows and complete milk conversions. 
• English - Write an essay with a partner. Topic: Entrepreneurship
• Life Skills - Complete daily farm chores and compete in the dairy cook-off.
• Shop Class - Learn how to change a tire, use hand tools and demo power tools.
• P.E. - Kickball

A note from the teachers:

Students will need to bring their own lunch and water bottle for each day. Snacks and milk are provided.

The cost is $180 per child. The class limit is 20 students. September 21-23, ages 10-12.
